After a long cycling day down from the Turgen valley, we made it with our almost last Khazh cash for the national park fee into Charyn Canyon and found a campspot in the dark.
Waking up at sunrise with an amazing view over the canyon, we went down the steep road to look at the impressive canyon, to enjoy the peace before all tourists arrived.
After Jayden did some washing and half a chill day in shade, our leisure was disrupted by national guards trying to get money for free camping. We made our way back up, being a tourist attraction ourself for asian people.
Next morning we had a long 122km cycling day to cross the border back to Kyrgyzstan, which greeted us with many handshakes and laughing people, which seemed to be happy to see us in their country. After Gabriele won a race on the bike against a teenager on a horse, we found a spot to sleep near the village, before we made our way down to a lake and soon to Karakol city on bumpy roads, where we enjoyed to get proper wash & food.
