After some rest, we headed towards the touristy Son Kul mountain lake at 3200 meters. With better roads and lower scenery resembling Otago New Zealand, we found glorious camping the whole way up.
Son Kul was well catered for tourists with delicious food, and big tourist mashutkas (Central Asia mini vans). We enjoyed some different yurts until we made our way to lower & hotter elevations.
